colocation

Your hardware. Our data centre.

Colocation means you keep your own servers and we provide the environment. Instead of a utility room in your office, your hardware sits in an ISO 27001 certified data centre in Düsseldorf - with redundant power, professional cooling and network connectivity you could never achieve on your own premises.

What you get with us

  • Space from a single rack unit up to your own rack
  • Redundant power supply over two separate feeds
  • Connectivity from 1 GBit up to n × 100 GBit via DE-CIX
  • Access around the clock - with your own lock
  • 15 minutes of remote hands per month included
  • Cooling in a contained cold aisle
  • A named contact instead of a ticket hotline

who it suits

Who colocation is right for

Four typical situations - and what colocation solves in each of them.

Out of the server room

No more utility room, no air conditioning that gives up in summer, no UPS that nobody ever tests. Your hardware sits in an environment built exactly for it.

IT service providers and agencies

Space for customer systems, growing with you from a single rack unit to your own rack. Remote hands takes over whenever you would rather not travel yourself.

Returning from the cloud

When the monthly cloud bill has long overtaken the depreciation on your own hardware, owning it pays off again. We provide the environment for it.

Compliance and data sovereignty

You know at all times where your data sits - and you can go and look at it. ISO 27001, located in Germany, data processing agreement under GDPR.

engineers on site

Our engineers work in the same building

At the large data centre operators every single task is a ticket with a minimum charge. Not with us: oneCorp keeps its own office right inside the Düsseldorf data centre.

As a colocation customer, 15 minutes of basic remote hands per month are included in your contract - reboots, status checks, re-plugging cables. No extra charge. If you need more, such as hardware replacement, installation or cabling, our remote hands team takes over at fixed hourly rates.

Included

15 minutes of basic remote hands per month: reboot, status check, re-plug cables, visual inspection.

On demand

Hardware replacement, installing new systems, cabling, media conversion - at fixed hourly rates.

Spare parts in house

We keep power supplies, drives and memory in stock on site. On request we store dedicated spare parts directly in your rack.

You will find more on services, rates and response times on our Remote Hands page.

how it works

How the move works

From the first enquiry to live operation - in five steps, with no surprises.

01

Establish requirements

How many rack units, how much power, which connectivity? We go through your setup together.

02

Site visit

Optional but recommended: come and see beforehand where your hardware will be standing.

03

Quote and reservation

You receive a fixed quote. Once accepted, we reserve your space in the data centre

04

Installation

You deliver and install yourself - or our team handles transport, installation and cabling.

05

Operation

Access around the clock, remote hands when needed, a named contact with a direct line.

From the first conversation to a live rack usually takes two to four weeks - depending on how quickly your hardware is ready.

And the cloud? Public cloud pays off when load fluctuates heavily and you do not want to own hardware. As soon as utilisation becomes predictable, your own hardware in a data centre is usually considerably cheaper - with full data sovereignty. We are happy to work through both options with you.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about colocation

What is colocation?
+
With colocation, you house your own servers in a professional data center instead of running them in your own server room. You retain ownership of the hardware, while we provide the rack space, power, cooling, network connectivity, and physical security. You keep full control over your systems without the burden of operating a data center yourself.
How much does colocation cost at oneCorp?
+
Pricing starts at €49.90 per rack unit per month, plus VAT. The cost for an eighth, quarter, half, or full rack depends on your power requirements and the desired connectivity, which is why we calculate this individually. Let us know your space and power needs via the form, and we will provide you with a firm quote.
What is the difference between colocation and server housing?
+
These terms mean the same thing. "Serverhousing" is the common term in German-speaking regions, while "colocation" is the standard international term. Both describe housing your own hardware in a third-party data center. This is distinct from hosting, where you rent the hardware; with colocation, you provide your own.
Where is the data center located, and can I visit it beforehand?
+
Our colocation facilities are located in an ISO 27001-certified data center in Düsseldorf, where oneCorp maintains its own office with dedicated technicians. You are welcome to visit at any time—it is free, non-binding, and takes about 60–90 minutes. Simply schedule an appointment with us.
How quickly can I access my hardware?
+
You have 24/7 access, seven days a week, with your own lock for your rack or rack area. Access is granted via biometric scanner and card reader. If you prefer not to travel yourself, our on-site technicians can take care of it for you.
What if I need on-site assistance?
+
As a colocation customer, your contract includes 15 minutes of basic remote hands per month for tasks such as reboots, status checks, or re-plugging cables. Our remote hands team handles more extensive work, such as hardware replacement, installation, or cabling, at fixed hourly rates.
Can I expand later on?
+
Yes. You can scale from individual rack units to an eighth, quarter, or half rack, all the way up to one or more full racks. Upon request, we can also distribute your systems across multiple fire compartments. Let us know in advance, and we will reserve adjacent space for you.
How long is my contract term?
+
Individual rack units are booked with a 12-month term, while shared and full racks are booked for 24 months. Your price remains unchanged throughout this period, as we firmly reserve the space and power capacity for you.
